Core Staff

21 or older with at least one year of experience as a Cabin Leader preferred.

This is a leadership position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and encouraging summer staff

  • Maintain schedule and flow of the day

  • Organize/lead daily activities

  • Assisting with all aspects of check-in/out

Must claim Jesus as Savior and be committed to maintaining a personal relationship with Him (disciplined bible study, time spent in prayer, etc). Need to have a servants heart, be willing to spend time with other staff and campers, develop relationships with them, and be a positive role model.

Cabin Leader

Must be 18 or older and at least one year out of high school preferred

Primary responsibility is the care and supervision of campers.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Teaching of cabin Bible study

  • Leading cabin devotions

  • Direction of morning prayer time

  • Instructing and/or assisting in qualified activity areas

Must claim Jesus as Savior and be committed to maintaining a personal relationship with Him (disciplined bible study, time spent in prayer, etc). Need to have a servants heart, be willing to spend time with campers, develop relationships with them, and be a positive role model.

Kitchen Staff

Must be 18 or older

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Food preparation

  • Maintaining a clean work environment

  • Managing dietary needs of guests throughout the summer

  • Serving meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), snacks, and other items (i.e. s'mores) as needed

 

 

 

RANCH STAFF

Head Wrangler

 

Working alongside the Ranch Director - this is a leadership role

 

Responsibilities include care and feeding of ranch animals, instructing horsemanship lessons for campers, directing trail rides, and maintenance of equipment, tack, and ranch grounds. Must claim Jesus as Savior and be committed to maintaining a personal relationship with Him (disciplined bible study, time spent in prayer, etc). Needs to have a servant heart, be willing to spend time with campers, develop relationships with them, and be a positive role model.

 

Must be 18 or older with at least one year of experience as a cabin leader preferred.

 

Wrangler

 

Under the leadership of the Head Wrangler/Ranch Director.

Responsibilities include assisting with care and feeding of ranch animals, teaching horsemanship to campers, teaching of cabin Bible study, leading cabin devotions, and direction of personal quiet time. Must claim Jesus as Savior and be committed to maintaining a personal relationship with Him (disciplined bible study, time spent in prayer, etc). Needs to have a servant heart, be willing to spend time with campers, develop relationships with them, and be a positive role model.

 

Must be 18 or older and at least one year out of high school preferred.

 

Ranch Hand

 

Assist wranglers with all horse activities.

Responsibilities include assisting campers and ranch leaders and maintenance of equipment, tack, and ranch grounds.

 

**Must be 16 or older.

 

KITCHEN STAFF

Head Cook

 

This is a partnered role.

Responsible for planning the menu, ordering food, food preparation, kitchen and dining room cleanliness and organization, and supervising kitchen staff.

 

Must be 21 or older with previous experience preferred.

 

Kitchen Assistant

 

Under the leadership of the Head Cooks.

Assist with food preparation, kitchen and dining room clean-up, dish washing, and other general kitchen duties.

 

**Must be 16 or older.

 

SUPPORT STAFF

Health Officer

 

Responsible for health and safety of campers and staff. Will do health screen on each camper, check cabins for cleanliness, dispense medications, care for injured or ill campers and be in contact with our local physician as needed.

 

Must be 21 or older and a Registered Nurse preferred.

 

Head of Waterfront

 

This position can be combined with Core Staff OR Cabin Leader.

 

Primary duties include overseeing the beach and boating area as well as maintenance of lifeguarding equipment, safety equipment, and waterfront. Responsible for waterfront coverage, scheduling lifeguards, and assisting core staff in organizing any activities on the waterfront.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

♦  American Red Cross: Lifeguarding

♦  American Red Cross: First Aid/CPR

 

Must be 21 or older with at least one year of experience as a cabin leader preferred.

 

Worship Leader

 

This position can be combined with Cabin Leader OR Media Specialist.

 

 Primary responsibility is to lead and organize worship sessions as they correspond with summer theme and daily studies. Responsible for creating slide shows for song lyrics and leading outdoor worship services as needed.

Must claim Jesus as Savior and be committed to maintaining a personal relationship with Him (disciplined bible study, time spent in prayer, etc). Need to have a servants heart, be willing to spend time with campers, develop relationships with them, and be a positive role model.

 

Must be 18 or older with at least one year of experience as a cabin leader preferred.

 

Media Specialist

 

Responsible for taking photos and video of each camp, running sound and video during sessions, set-up/take-down of equipment for outdoor events and Camper Send-off, and creating a DVD production featuring the highlights of each week using photos and video footage.

 

**Must be 16 or older.

 

Maintenance Assistant

 

Under the leadership of the Maintenance Director.

Responsibile for general building and grounds maintenance including mowing, building repair, grounds upkeep, and other duties as needed.

 

**Must be 16 or older.

 

 

**All 16 & 17 year olds must have a Michigan work permit**

 

 

All positions are six days per week (sunday thru Friday) and include room and board, laundry, pre-camp training, workman’s compensation, and special staff functions such as bible studies, staff meeting, and worship experiences.
