Camp Living Waters was founded in 1967, to provide a place for families in general, children and teenagers specifically to come away from everyday life and experience God in His creation.
Our world has changed since 1967. Homes now contain numerous phones, televisions, computers, and other technology gadgets. We no longer count on the US Postal Service for information. Messages from around the world are on our computer screens in an instant, and the information available is astounding. Youth are bombarded with technology and no longer develop the social skills needed to thrive in our society. Opportunities to know how to be still before God are difficult to find.
Along with lost social interactive skills, many young people are inactive, overweight, have little to no outdoor time, and have trouble making wise decisions on their own.
Camp Living Waters addresses these issues in a safe, outdoor, fun, and socially active environment. CLW is known throughout Michigan and across the United Brethren Denomination as a rustic, small group and outdoor focused, summer resident camp and youth retreat facility. We are a Christian Camp that has had world wide impact as a result of our campers and retreat attendees traveling and working around the world.
